Collective rights management in Indonesia runs through LMKN, which collects royalties for commercial use and distributes to its member LMK. The framework rests on Law No. 28 of 2014, Government Regulation No. 56 of 2021, and Minister of Law Regulation No. 27 of 2025.
Commercial music engages five separate rights: public performance of the composition, public performance of the sound recording, reproduction of the sound recording, recording and master rights, and publishing rights for commercial use. Collective management addresses the first two.
